So here we go. 2010. Starting the year off with a real post. Back on December 13th I managed to get back to Toronto in time for the canceled-then-rescheduled record swap (at which I picked up a few choice items) and then for the Iron Age show that evening at Siesta Nouveaux. To be honest, I was more excited to check out my good friend Demarco’s new band Purity Control who were opening and playing their first show. Although their demo is kinda rough around the edges it showed a lot of potential and I had a feeling I’d be really into their band. They definitely didn’t disappoint in their short but sweet set that night. I’m really looking forward to seeing where the band goes and I may have agreed to help put out a record for them on New Years eve. Anyways, here are a few photos from their set.

I have also been toying with the idea of putting together a photo zine. Ideally, I would like to do a full page zine (as opposed to a 5.5″x8″ half page zine) but this would cost significantly more and I’m not sure there is enough interest out there to warrant that. Who knows, if I actually end up doing this I’ll probably just drop the money on a full page zine and see what happens. I’ll be sure to post any information regarding that on here if it gets off the ground.
